SMUSD created all LumiSight student and faculty/staff accounts based on their @smusd.org email address. 

SMUSD Faculty and Staff should use their @smusd.org email addresses to login to LumiSight.

Each SMUSD student has their own LumiSight account. Parents or guardians should use the student's credentials to help manage student LumiSight accounts and perform daily check-ins. A student account cannot be managed by another person's LumiSight account. All emails from LumiSight will only be sent to the student's @smusd.org email address.

To activate a LumiSight account for the first time:
  1. Click Log in and complete consent form
  2. Click Forgot Password
  3. Enter your @smusd.org email and click Submit (IMPORTANT: do not close or navigate away from the Reset Password page)
  4. Open a new browser tab or window, access your SMUSD email and search for a verification code email
    • Email will be sent from noreply@smusd.org and has the Subject title "San Marcos Unified School District - Verification Code"
    • Please allow up to 5 minutes to receive the verification email and check the time received to ensure you are using the correct code. 
    • If you cannot find the verification email in your inbox, remember to check your Junk Mail folder as well
  5. On the Reset Password page, type in 6 digit verification code in the boxes
  6. Enter in a New Password and Confirm New Password
  7. Click Reset 
  8. You should see that your password was successfully reset
  9. Click Continue to update your profile information - note that verifying your phone number is optional
  10. Once your profile is setup, you will be able to Check-in for the day using the "Check Your Symptoms" button.
